I believe modules of finance is what we understand through practical rather than while sitting in the classroom. Somewhere Indian education system failed me and despite being bright in projects, research and knowledge gain, I couldn’t score excellent marks on paper.

To achieve my goals in this career and test myself, I worked on various financial applications through research on markets during my undergrad research projects, such as the {Project}. Through this, I developed an innovation that aimed to create a more enabling environment for differently-abled students in {University} through a dropout prevention programme and collected primary data of {Number} students with disabilities. My responsibilities involve leading and managing teams of associates that collaborate with on-shore tax teams on a variety of domestic and international tax returns, following a well-defined process and utilising the tools and technological solutions available. Preparing and reviewing monthly and quarterly VAT/GST reports, following European sales listing and reporting of tax transactions, effective tax rate reconciliation, financial statement preparation for Statutory, Regulatory, and Compliance requirements, and account reconciliation and consolidation are my prime responsibilities. When the tremendous result of my work was displayed in front of everyone in the office, I felt ecstatic. My hat holds many feathers of success and achievements. On personal front, I possess good managing attitude, excellent communication skills, and strategic research quality. Leadership roles have always suited me as I have headed multiple chairs and positions during my sophomore years. Receiving the Silver Plaque and certificate for being a scholar for six straight years in school in {Year} was a delightful moment for me.

I believe setting up goals makes a career path disciplined. With thorough understanding and abundant work experience, I was gaining enough learning. However, the student in me always lured me to gain global current insight to apprehend the thick and thins of finance. Therefore, I decided to upgrade my knowledge at a renowned global institute. In addition, the group projects will help my creative side and increase my teamwork abilities which have been missing in my set of abilities.

The short-term goal that I envisaged for myself is to get through with the principles underlying the Finance and Financial Management techniques and get proficiency in handling a diverse portfolio of client engagements and put all of my theoretical experience into practice in a real-world environment. Mentoring and working with younger generations of ambitious managers will impart me the much needed sense of satisfaction. I want to establish myself as a valuable asset to the business where I will be working in the future. The course will help me kick start my managerial career in a core finance-specific role. It will help me climb the corporate ladder with more confidence and knowledge. I would get to work with my dream companies such as {Companies name} or investment banks such as {Banks Name}.
